HIGHLIGHTS OF THE MONTH
HYACKS WIN BIG ... BACK IN THE DOME
November 8, 2019
The Hyacks defeated Terry Fox, 45-6 in a one-sided wildcard playoff game at Mercer Stadium. Deakon Young and Andros Dancey each scored a pair of TDs,
while Michael Udoh and Mahtab Garcha also found the endzone. Defensively, Owen Stark managed 10 tackles and a pair of sacks, while Pavan Kainth added 8
tackles and an interception. Grade 10 lineman Matthew Duncan sacked the Ravens QB in the endzone for a safety. Kainth was named Dairy Queen Lineman of the Game,
while Young was named the Player of the Game.
THREE HYACKS EARN CONFERENCE ALL-STARS
November 3, 2019
Congratulations to Taran Birdi, Pavan Kainth and Vishaan Narayan, who were selected to the AAA Western Conference All-star team. Narayan, only in grade 11, was the
number one ranked defensive linemen in the conference, while Kainth (OL) and Birdi (DB) also capped off strong seasons with their honors.
HYACKS NOW 5-1, RANKED 3RD IN BC
October 25, 2019
The Hyacks improved to 5-1 in league play, thanks to a 46-33 win over Belmont. Michael Udoh and Greyson Planinsic again combined for close to 300 yards at 4 TDs.
Sam Webb scored his first career TD and Mahtab Garcha added a major as well. Deakon Young led the defense for the 2nd straight game with 9 tackles and Vishaan Narayan added 7.
Garcha was named Player of the Game while Narayan was named Dairy Queen Lineman of the game.
HYACKS IMPOROVE TO 2-0
September 27, 2019
Two 60+ yard TD runs in the 1st quarter by Michael Udoh paced the Hyacks to a 36-14 win over Notre Dame. Austin Galbraith and Greyson Planinsic also scored rushing TDs for the Hyacks.
Owen Stark scored his first career TD, finished with 3 tackles for loss and 2 QB sacks, and was named Player of the Game.
Leonard Lastrado was named Dairy Queen Lineman of the Game. The Hyacks improved to 2-0 in league play and are now the #1 ranked team in the province,
according to Varsity Letters.
HYACKS WIN LEAGUE OPENER
September 20, 2019
In a rematch of last season's provincial championship game, the Hyacks defeated Mt Douglas 33-21 in Victoria. Austin Galbraith led the way with 2 TDs,
including a 92 yard punt return, and also added 9 tackles on defense, while Greyson Planinsic added 137 yards rushing a TD. The Hyacks defense recorded 7 sacks,
including 2 each from Owen Stark and Himat Garcha.
HYACKS WIN BIG ON HOMECOMING
September 14, 2019
The Hyacks picked up their first win of the young season, defeating GW Graham 40-0. Michael Udoh and Greyson Planinsic each scored a pair of TDs and combined for over 200 yards of total offense.
Deakon Young and QB Payton Myers added one TD apiece. Defensively Vishaan Narayan and Andros Dancey both stood out. League play begins next week in Victoria against Mt Douglas.
NOLLI, COMIA AND PHILIP EARN COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS

Congratulations to Broxx Comia, Evan Nolli and Kinsale Philip who are the latest Hyacks to earn college scholarships.
Comia signed his letter of intent today with the University of Manitoba, while Nolli and Philip signed with Simon Fraser University and University of Toronto respectively, in February.
All three players were among the top 70 ranked players in Canada by Canada Football Chat and received numerous scholarship offers.

HYACKS TO PLAY FOR PROVINCIAL CHAMPIONSHIP
November 24, 2018
For the 2nd consecutive season, the Hyacks will be playing on the final day of the season with a chance to take home Subway Bowl AAA Championship, thanks to an impressive 33-0 win over Terry Fox on Saturday at BC Place.
Kinsale Philip threw 3 TD passes, including a pair to Matthew Lalim and one to Matt Drake. Greyson Planinsic scored along the ground, while Zachery Northgraves kicked a pair of field goal.
Vishaan Narayan, Evan Nolli and Shaye Rathjen were among those who stood out on defense. The Hyacks will now take on Mt Douglas in the Championship game on Saturday, Dec 1st at 7pm at BC Place.
