Nasser Jamal Drafted by Argos

Congratulations to Nasser Jamal who became the first NWSS Grad drafted into the CFL since the football program was resurrected in 2003. Jamal, a 6’6″, 290 pound offensive lineman, was selected by the Toronto Argos in the 6th round (40th overall). Jamal is currently playing at University of Louisiana at Lafayette (NCAA Div 1) where he will return for his senior season this fall. Cody Husband (6’7″, 290 lbs, O-line, UBC) is also expected to sign a contract with the Hamilton Tiger Cats. Both Nasser and Cody were provincial all-stars with the Hyacks in 2005.
