Congratulations to the following Hyacks who were able to earn college scholarships, despite their not being a high school football season in 2020:
- Andros Dancey, DB, York University
- Vishaan Narayan, DL, Simon Fraser University
- Steven Jiang, OL, UBC
- Deakon Young, DB, University of Calgary
Andros has been a member of the Hyacks program since the age of 5, Vishaan joined the program in the 8th grade and Deakon and Steven became Hyacks in grade 10. All are exceptional players who were leaders with us every step of the way. We wish them the best and look forward to watching them continue their journeys. The trio brings the total number of NWSS football players since 2003 to earn football scholarships to 52.
In addition, Gob Deng, WR, has accepted a scholarship to University of Calgary and Denzel Mountali has received a scholarship offer to NCAA Div 1 Marshall University. Both Gob and Denzel had transferred to NWSS prior to grade 12, but were unable to play a game for the Hyacks, due to the cancelled season. We wish them the best of luck as well.
