Hyacks Win BC Opener

The Hyacks picked up their first win of the season with a hard-fought 11-6 win decision over Centennial at Percy Perry Stadium. Following a safety, Wayne Palmer gave the Hyacks a 5-0 lead with his 3rd field goal of the season. In the 3rd quarter Ebraheim Farroghi blocked a punt deep in Centaurs territory, setting up Jordan Guzman‘s first varsity TD, and giving New West the win. Julian Ramirez led all Hyack rushers with 74 yards on 11 carries, while Matt Seymourcaught three passes for 72 yards.
