Hyacks Win Big…Now Off to the Dome!

The Hyacks turned in lopsided 61-7 win over Handsworth in the wildcard playoffs on Friday at Mercer Stadium, in what was a record setting night for Trew Dancey. The Gr 11 running back set a school record by scoring 5 TDs in a single game. Dancey rushed for 225 yards on just 15 carries, and has been named the Provincial Player of the Week. Josh Olango rushed for a pair of TDs while David Penalver and Josh Nerona each added 1 TD, as the Hyacks rushed for 546 yards, the 2nd most in school history. Defensively, Rochon Bhattacharya intercepted 2 passes and added 5 tackles.
