Another successful Tailgate Auction sponsored by River Market at Westminster Quay is in the books. Last Saturday evening nearly 180 guests and sponsors helped us reach our fundraising goal for the NWSS Hyack Football.
There were special moments throughout the evening, as we welcomed our team sponsors, The Record, G&F Financial Group, Key West Ford and Team Dave Vallee and friends – whose support on and off the field have helped make our Community and high school football programs stand out for all the right reasons. Barb Beale scored the winning bid for the grand prize Hawaiian Vacation, donated by Live Auction sponsor Westland Insurance and WI director Brent Atkinson, a long-time friend and supporter of the Hyacks. Isaiah “Big Pappy” James edged out fellow varsity captain, Yanni ‘Zeus’ Angelopoulos in an arm wrestling bout that caused a frenzy amongst their fans.
